The Story of Ashure (Noah’s Pudding)

It was thousands of years ago, a thousand years after Adam. The Great Creator, because of His All- Compassion to them all and to all humanity, sent Noah. Then one day God sent the Angel Gabriel to order Noah to build a ship. Inspired by God, Noah built the ship. God ordered him to take two of every creature, the believers, and his family, except his wife, in the vessel. Noah again told people about the flood, and warned them against it.

Dialog Trips to Türkiye

Throughout the history of nearly 80 000 years, many great civilizations lived and left their legacy within the lands of Anatolia, modern day Turkiye. The Intercultural Dialog Trips to this “cradle of civilizations” explores the rich culture that is matured ever since and extends the bridges of friendship between the people of the United States and Turkiye. These trips enable understanding through interaction and give the participants an opportunity to make new friends and invaluable connections. The trips feature a unique experience of not just the touristic sites but the people and culture of Turkiye on many occasions such as dinners at hosts families.

Rosegarden Turkish American Cultutal Center provides a regular venue for scholars, where they can share their research and experience pertaining to contemporary local and global issues. The topics are carefully chosen from among the more important and timely ones. Scholars, as well as students, of diverse fields gather to share their insights with the broader community in these lectures.

To build a multicultural environment and contribute to the formation of the principles of tolerance and pluralism within the diverse communities Rosegarden and its umbrella organization Pacifica Institute aims to inspire a spirit of cooperation and friendship in order to bring the efforts together for the higher goals of peace by organizing and participating in festivals that reflect these values.

Noah's Pudding Celebration 2011 It is believed that on the day Noah's ark landed, Noah and his people put all the food they had together and cooked a meal known as Ashura or Noah's Pudding. Anotolian people still continue this tradition by cooking Noah's Pudding and sharing it with their neighbors.
